Qualified Crew When You Need.

Whether you are looking for full-time, rotational, seasonal, or freelance we can help find the right crew for you.

NCA takes a very hands on and direct approach to get to know the vessels, Captains, and crew they work with to find the best fit and solutions for all parties to get long-term success.

  • Hiring a Captain, Officer, Chief Stew, Engineer, Chef, or any department head or management position requires specific screening and vetting for not only the skills and experience, but also for their leadership styles and ability to get the job done.

We check for past accomplishments, key past contributions, their longevity, and the longevity of the people they managed in the past helps determine the likelihood of future performance.

  • We take an active role in the process as you would expect but does not always happen.

Sometimes you may experience "CV Passers," that prioritize speed over accuracy by distributing multiple CVs that appear impressive at first glance, aiming to be the earliest applicants. However, they do this with minimal or no prior screening or compatibility assessment, thereby transferring the majority of the vetting, matching, and workload to you.

We believe when you hire us, we are being hired as a team member to be solely focused on finding, vetting, and best candidates for the job that will also be the best fit with current crew, owners, and culture.

We not only properly vet candidates but we also provide a report of what has been done and an analysis of strengths and weaknesses and why a candidate is being recommended.

NCA has grown almost entirely from crew and client referrals each returning to us when they need help finding crew or new positions because of our previous work, communication, and extremely high success ratio.

  • You want to find a candidate for your position as soon as possible, but it is important to know that important steps in the selection and screening process are not being missed.

NCA is very diligent and focused not to skip steps that can lead to the wrong candidates.

We make sure all of our candidates are all thoroughly vetted, interviewed, an screened prior to being submitted without exception.

We also stay in close and constant communication with everyone in our network and community to know who is available or when they might be aiding in the speed in which we can deliver premium candidates.

  • Giving candidates in an interview a future job scenario or challenge and asking them how they would handle or manage through helps gauge a candidate’s “situational experience” in the job.

This can reveal their true job knowledge, experience, and approach to the job that can be critical in determining if they are the right candidate for the job.

Only through detailed pre-screening can a candidate’s ‘Situational Experience” be gauged.

  • One of the key reasons we have such a high placement success ratio is because we act as Gatekeeper for both crew and vessels.

For Vessels our job as Gatekeepers is to ensure that each candidate put forward has been thoroughly vetted, interviewed, and assessed as a good match for the job and program so that you are only reviewing best pre-screened candidates that have the highest likelyhood of success.

For Crew our job as Gatekeepers is to ensure we have also vetted the vessels, programs, and Captains to confidently recommend them to qualified and sought after crew. By being diligent to both we have built a reputation for a community and network of reliable and sought after crew and vessels.

  • When looking for a new crewmember to join your vessel you want candidates that have not only the skills, experience, and expertise you’re looking for but also an attitude and demeanor that meshes with your program culture.

NCA focuses on skill sets, experience, professionalism, adaptability, with a priority for cultural and personality alignment between crew candidates and vessels. Making sure qualified candidates are also the right fit for your program helps ensure long-term success.
